Harmonica player Rhys Jones came along to rehearsal last night- wow, what great musician and a lovely chap too. We’ll be working together over the coming months as Rhys will be helping out at some of our gigs so look out for those. Rhys usually plays with the popular alternative/rock/blues band The Dooberies. www.thedooberies.com

Rockin’ out at Lee Rosey’s Tea Rooms- you kinda know you’re showing your age when the strongest drink on the menu is ginger beer! What a great gig though; Nottingham city centre, intimate venue, great crowd, supporting really good artists- Becky Syson and then LoFi Lung. Looking forward to seeing them both again. Louby Lou’s first solo gig with us and she slotted in perfectly, Joy’s...

Julian has decided to call time on his bass playing duties with the band to spend more time with his family. Louise has agreed to step in and take over the position and will play her first lone gig with us on Friday. Straight in at the deep end then for Lou as we’re in the recording studio on Tuesday!
Julian will play a farewell gig with us on 8th May at the Worthington Folk Festival.

We’ll be joined by bass player Louise Hughes for our gig at the Wetmore Whistle on 20th June. Jude can’t make that gig and Louise has been kind enough to offer to lend her time and expertise for the afternoon- so it should be an interesting one as the girls will outnumber the boys for a change.

Well, this is it, the new Green Fortune website. This is the collective, and the definitive source of all Green Fortune’s information and presence.
As Green Fortune move in and start creating content there might be a few mementoes of the the site’s development still hanging about – but they will soon be gone and replaced by interesting stuff!
Thanks for supporting Green Fortune.
